Noah’s Wedding

"Noah's Wedding" is a documentary photography and videography work that combines real-life footage with artificial intelligence technology, where I discuss how one's self-identity should be defined within intimate relationships. Noah originates from the "Book of Genesis" in the Christian Bible, known for the story of "Noah's Ark." Noah and his wife were chosen by God and instructed to build a large vessel. They led numerous animals onto the ark to drift at sea, ultimately saving their family and the animals from a global flood disaster.

In my story, I have borrowed the imagery of the flood, using my childhood experience as a flower child at weddings to imagine a chaotic underwater wedding. "I" hold flowers in the film and am the first to sense the invasion of the flood, but the indifference of the adults leaves "me" at a loss. In the end, everyone is submerged in water, and the bride turns into a string of bubbles and vanishes. "I" am not only the rewriter of memories but also the questioner of the independence of the self within intimate relationships.
